An Introduction All About Boston Bruins Forward Chris Wagner

Chris Wagner or Wags, is a gritty 4th line veteran of the Boston Bruins. Wagner started his semi-pro hockey career with the South Shore Kings of the EJHL (Eastern Junior Hockey League). He played 82 games with the club and scored a total of 117 points.

Wagner would earn the right to hear his name called at the 2010 NHL entry draft. The Anaheim Ducks would draft him in the 5th round, 122nd overall.

The 18-year-old would then commit to Colgate University. He would play two seasons in the ECAC (division 1). In 79 games, Wagner tallied 70 points.

The 12/13 season saw a change of scenery for the young prospect. Wagner would play for the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL. He spent three seasons with the club before being called up to the Ducks. Wags played a total of 26 games before being placed on waivers. The Colorado Avalanche would scoop him up. Wagner had a 26 game stint with the Avs. Before being placed on waivers again. And guess what? Wagner saw himself heading back to Anaheim! Wagner was again a mismatch on the Ducks squad. He only suited up for 107 games (in two seasons).

On February 26, 2018, a trade occurred. The Anaheim Ducks would be sending Wagner to the New York Islanders. In return, the Isles would send Jason Chimera to the Ducks.
Wagner would play 15 games with the Isles before hitting free agency.

On July 1, 2018, Wagner would sign with your Boston Bruins. Wagner would prove himself as a regular in the Bruins lineup. He would play 143 games in the 18/19 and 19/20 seasons. Wagner would resign in Boston and play 41 games in a shortened 20/21 NHL season. Wagner will continue with Boston in the 21/22 season unless a trade presents itself.
