2022 Draft Prospect Rankings - Top CHL Players

1. Shane Wright - Kingston (OHL)

Shane Wright is the obvious choice to go first overall at the upcoming NHL Draft. The consensus number one selection has been in the media for years. Wright was given Exceptional Status by the CHL to allow him to play in the OHL during the 2019-2020 season (as an underaged player). This season Wright had 32 goals and 62 assists in 63 games with the Kingston Frontenacs. The dynamic playmaker also played for Team Canada's World Juniors Team and assisted once in two games. 


2. Matthew Savoie - Winnipeg (WHL)

Savoie has one of the best playmaking abilities in the entire draft. The Alberta native split his 2020-2021 season with The Sherwood Park Crusaders of the AJHL and The Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL. In total, he scored 24 goals and 20 assists in just 38 games. This season with the Winnipeg Ice, Savoie ended with an impressive 55 assists and 90 points.


3. Conor Geekie - Winnipeg Ice (WHL)

Geekie, a teammate of top-rated prospect Matthew Savoie, plays for the Winnipeg Ice in the WHL. Standing at 6'4'' and weighing in at 205 pounds, Geekie has a high hockey IQ. Conor is the brother of Seattle Kraken Morgan Geekie, both playing in the WHL. This season Conor has 70 points in 63 games. Geekie can be a dynamic offensive threat while playing a physical game.

4. Luca Del Bel Belluz - Mississauga (OHL)

Hailing from Woodbridge, Ontario, Del Bel Belluz is the 11th-ranked North American skater. Del Bel Belluz currently plays for The Mississauga Steelheads of the OHL. He put up 76 points, including 30 goals in 68 games.
