Columbus Extend Liam Foudy

 The Columbus Blue Jackets have extended the contract of forward Liam Foudy. Foudy will be a part of the Columbus Blue Jackets for the next two seasons. He will have a two-way contract for the first year of his contract, allowing him to be transferred to Cleveland of the American Hockey League. In the NHL, he'd earn $750K. In the AHL, he'd get $200K. He would make $775K on a one-way agreement during his second year.


Foudy is a former first-round selection by Columbus during the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. This past season Foudy spent most of his year in the AHL. Playing in 29 games, he would score 19 points, including seven goals.

The youngster also played one game in the NHL. He has a time-on-ice of 11:51 and recorded one shot-on-goal and hit.

The former London Knight transitioned into pro hockey during the 2018-19 season, playing in the AHL. Foudy would debut during the 2019-20 season and score his first point. 

Foudy remains one of Columbus' top prospects in the system.
