Game Preview: Game 2 - Edmonton Oilers at Colorado Avalanche

Offense. Offense. Offense. The word that best describes Game 1 of this Western Conference Series. Colorado ultimately defeated Edmonton 8-6, leading 1-0 in the series.

The Avs ended the first period with a 3-2 lead after J.T. Compher, Nathan Mackinnon, and Cale Makar each scored.

Both teams would combine to score another nine goals in the game. All four dressed goalies (Smith, Koskinen, Kuemper, Francouz) played during the game and had a combined save percentage of 83%.

Pavel Francouz will start for the Avs during game one. Darcy Kuemper removed himself from game one; after feeling dizzy. Justus Annunen will serve as the backup.

While Jay Woodcroft and Edmonton will stick with Mike Smith, he allowed six goals on 25 shots.

Connor McDavid currently leads the league in playoff points with 29.  Followed by teammate Leon Draisaitl with 28 points. Colorado looks to contain the dynamic duo to limit Edmonton's chances.
