Rangers Sign Vitali Kravtsov to One-Year Deal

Vitali Kravtsov has signed a one-year, one-way contract extension with the New York Rangers. Kravtsov will earn $875K after failing to break the Rangers team last season; he is a former 9th overall pick.

New York and Kravtsov would collide as the Russian forward refused to report to New York's AHL affiliate Hartford. The Rangers would end up loaning Kravstov to Chelyabinsk Traktor of the KHL. Playing in Russia, Vitali played in 19 games, scoring six goals and seven points in the regular season. While also scoring 10 points in 15 playoff games.

Previously, Kravtsov debuted with New York during the 2020-21 season, playing in 20 games, scoring two goals and two assists.

Kravtsov was originally drafted 9th overall during the 2018 NHL Entry Draft; he will turn 23 this December. The forward stands at an impressive 6'2'' and weighs 187 pound.
