The Detroit Red Wings travel to Boston, as the Wings take on the Bruins in the first matchup of the season. Bruins' winger Brad Marchand returns to the lineup after missing seven games due to offseason surgery.

  • Detroit fails to maintain puck possession within the offensive zone

  • The following shift Craig Smith beats the netminder with a wrister (assists: Nosek, Forbort)

  • Two goals in 35 seconds by the Bruins

  • Hronek saves a goal, as he takes a penalty on a Marchand wrap-a-round

  • Another PP goal, as Pastrnak beats Husso with a one-timer (assists: Lindholm, Bergeron)
