Dennis Hildeby was the Toronto Maple Leafs' third-selection during the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. The Swedish netminder was selected with the 122nd overall pick, after a tremendous rookie season in the SHL (Swedish Hockey League).
Hildeby is currently serving as the backup goaltender for Farjestad BK, and has put up tremendous numbers as a 21-year-old. So far this season, the Leafs' pick has suited up for six games. Hildeby holds a 3-3-0 record along with a .914 save percentage and a 2.46 GAA.
The now Leafs prospect was selected as an overager during the past NHL Draft. Hildeby is a monster in net standing at about 6-foot-6-inches, who has terrific numbers at the pro level in Sweden.
