Leafs' Place Dryden Hunt on Waivers

The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that they have placed forward Dryden Hunt on waivers today. Hunt has played in nine games this season for the Maple Leafs after being traded from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Denis Malgin.

Hunt has struggled to remain in the Leafs' lineup throughout his short stint. The British Columbia native has suited up for nine games for Toronto, recording a single goal. Last year, Hunt was a solid fourth-line energy player, scoring 17 points in 76 games.

Hunt has minimal effect on the cap hit as he is in the second year of a two-year deal with a $762,500 cap hit.
