Oilers Goaltenders Looks to Prevail Team to the Next Level

The Edmonton Oilers started the season with a goaltender tandem of Jack Campbell and Stuart Skinner. Campbell, the starter had high expectations going into the season, after the Oilers signed the veteran to a sizeable contract this offseason. While rookie netminder, Stuart Skinner, came into the season with only 16 games of experience.

Campbell got off to a rocky start but has since rebounded with three games, where he recorded a save percentage above 90%. Campbell was lit up against the Calgary Flames, allowing four goals on 11 total shots, before being replaced. Skinner shut the door for the remainder of the game stopping all 31 shots on goal.

Both Oilers goaltenders have caught a rhythm and have been putting up solid numbers over the past five games. Edmonton sits with a 3-3-0 record, but look to improve with their new tandem netminders.

The stars are once again shining to start the year for Edmonton. Draisaitl currently leads the team with three goals and eight assists, while McDavid has five points and five assists.
