Maple Leafs' Call-Up Bobby McMann

The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that they have called up forward Bobby McMann from the Marlies (AHL) today.

McMann is expected to be a healthy scratch for tonight's game against the New York Islanders. This is likely just a precautionary move as the Leafs are one of many teams tight against the cap.

McMann, an undrafted signee by the Leafs has suited up for four NHL games this season, notching two points in his brief stint. The Alberta native has a career of 14 games in the show alongside three assists.

Don't be surprised if the Leafs opt to demote McMann back to the AHL after tonight's game, given the fact that he would not need to be placed on waivers.
