2021-22 NHL Season Review: Arizona Coyotes

The Arizona Coyotes are in the midst of a full-team rebuild, thus achieving their goal of finishing second-last in the entire NHL this past season. The Yotes finished with a harsh 57 points and a -106 goal differential, far worse than the last-place Montreal Canadiens. Clayton Keller : Although harsh, few of the Coyotes actually had solid seasons. For example, Clayton Keller. The former seventh overall pick, arguably, had his best statistical season since his rookie year, 2017-18. In 67 games played, the elite offensive-minded forward scored 63 points. Keller represented the Coyotes at the All-Star game.   Keller averaged over 20 minutes per game, playing on the power play while also on the penalty kill. He has significantly improved his two-way game, as represented by his two shorthanded points and his career high in blocks.   The assistant captain will look to build on his success during the 2022–23 season. His season showed a glimpse of his future potential, scoring 16 points in 35 games (as a 19-year-old). The following 2020-2021 season, Soderstrom would make his NHL debut. He played four games for the Coyotes, scoring his first NHL goal and assist. The Coyotes would then send him down to Tucson of the AHL for conditioning. Oh boy! The AHL has been rough for Soderstrom. Ever since Ritchie left Peterborough and SOO of the OHL, he has yet to prove his talents, viewed during his draft year. Ritchie would play minutes with the Anaheim Ducks starting in the 2015-16 season. And he would land a career-high in points during the 2018-19 season (31 points). Ritchie would prove to be a bit impulsive and sit in the penalty box for unnecessary plays, which Anaheim didn't like. After that, the Anaheim Ducks would trade Ritchie to the Boston Bruins. In exchange, the Ducks would get forward Danton Heinen. Ritchie's start with Boston would be disastrous. During the 2019-20 playoffs Ritchie would record 19 penalty minutes. Bruins fans even blamed Ritchie for their second-round exit to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Ritchie's best statistical season of his career would be in 2020-21. He scored 26 poin
