Yes, at last we are nearing the start of the 2022-23 season, a time in when all 32 teams have a shot at winning Stanley Cup. Here are some of the top headlines and notes, prior to the NHL season: Bruins Announce Prospect Tournament Roster The Boston Bruins have announced their roster for the upcoming Buffalo Sabres Prospect Tournament at the LECOM Harborcenter. The tournament is set to run for five days. The Bruins prospects will play against the Habs, Devils, Penguins, Senators, and Sabres prospects over the course of the tournament. Highlighting the offensive group is former first-round pick John Beecher. The former U-of-Michigan star signed to become a pro at the end of the prior NCAA season. Beecher is a player that will likely start the season in the AHL. The lengthy forward plays a physical, power forward-like game. 2021 first-round pick Fabian Lysell will also join the Bruins group at the LECOM Harborcenter. Who is Shane Wright?

Shane Wright is a high-end prospect in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. Wright is originally from Burlington, Ontario, and played his minor hockey with the Don Mills Flyers organization. In 72 games with the Flyers in his U-16 season, he scored a total of 150 points. He and his teammates also won the OHL Cup. Wright would then be given exceptional status by the CHL and be selected first overall by the Kingston Frontenacs during the 2019 OHL Draft. In addition, he would be drafted 175th overall by the Chicago Steel in the 2021 USHL Draft (the junior hockey league in the United States). In his first season with Kingston, Wright would be selected to wear the "A". In 58 games, he would score 66 points. However, the Frontenacts were one of the worst teams in the entire OHL. He would also be selected for the U17s and play in five games with Team Canada Black. He would captain the team and score four goals and three assists.
