The Future: Plenty of Habs' Prospects Start the Season off Strong

One of the greatest prospect pools in the National Hockey League belongs to the Montreal Canadiens. Many of the Habs' prospects have had strong starts to the season thus far. For a squad that is partially rebuilding or retooling, this is crucial. The following prospects have had promising starts in their respective leagues: Joshua Roy - Sherbrooke Phoenix QMJHL The standout Canadian from the 2021 World Juniors was chosen in the fifth round of the NHL Entry Draft. Roy is regarded as one of the National Hockey League's most underappreciated prospects. In the QMJHL, Roy ranks high in both points and assists. After a good WJC tournament and preceding season, the 19-year-old started his fourth junior campaign. The winger has six goals and 13 assists in 11 games this year.
