Yes, we are finally approaching the start of the 2022-23 season, a time when all 32 teams have a chance to win the Stanley Cup. Here are some of the top headlines and notes prior to the NHL season: Järnkrok's Season Expectations Calle Järnkrok was a pleasant surprise to many Leafs fans this weekend, playing in his first preseason game of the year. Järnkrok recorded two goals, on three shots, while playing just over 17 minutes during a 4-2 defeat to the Ottawa Senators. In that game, Järnkrok was seen paired playing with Auston Matthews and Michael Bunting. Will Calle see first-line minutes this season? Of course, preseason is a trial run and players can always breakout, but does Järnkrok bring first-line abilities to the table? A more suitable role for the 31-year-old Swedish forward would probably be to slot in on either the second or third line. Even though the Swedes played well, we must remember that hockey is a marathon, not a sprint.Järnkrok's best offensive statistics of

Yes, at last we are nearing the start of the 2022-23 season, a time in when all 32 teams have a shot at winning Stanley Cup. Here are some of the top headlines and notes, prior to the NHL season: Bruins offer PTO to Anton Stralman The Boston Bruins have reportedly offered a professional tryout to veteran defenseman Anton Stralman. The Swedish defenseman has yet to make a decision on his hockey career, and has yet to accept or decline the offer. Hearing player is Anton Stralman. https://t.co/v543LandYe — Ty Anderson (@_TyAnderson) September 22, 2022 Stralman is coming off a season with the Arizona Coyotes. The right-handed d-ma suited up for 74 games for the struggling, disastrous Coyotes team. Stralman was quite effective both offensively and defensively, recording eight goals and 15 assists while playing top-four minutes.   The Bruins are looking to add defensive depth to their lineup, as it is quite clear that both Charlie McAvoy and Matt Grzelcyk will miss substantial time to star

NHL Rumors: Jack Campbell, Kaiden Guhle, Nick Robertson, Felix Sandstrom

Yes, at last we are nearing the start of the 2022-23 season, a time in when all 32 teams have a shot at winning Stanley Cup. Here are some of the top headlines and notes, prior to the NHL season: Campbell "The Missing Piece" from the Oilers Lineup The Edmonton Oilers went all out this offseason, acquiring all-star goaltender Jack Campbell from free agency. The 30-year-old Campbell and the team announced a five-year, $5,000,000 AAV contract this offseason.   Edmonton was a strong offensive team throughout the 2021-22 season, but lacked goaltending that could steal or keep them close in a game. NHL Rumors: Bruins Must Start Strong, Detroit Prospect Tournament, Ristolainen Curse, Ty Smith Breakout?

Yes, at last we are nearing the start of the 2022-23 season, a time in when all 32 teams have a shot at winning Stanley Cup. Here are some of the top headlines and notes, prior to the NHL season: Bruins Season Relies on a Strong Start There is no doubt that, on paper, the Atlantic Division looks to be the most competitive division in the entire National Hockey League. The Boston Bruins will be without stars Brad Marchand, Charlie McAvoy, and Matt Grzelcyk to start the season.   Without their three stars, the Bruins will look for various other players to step up and play in the roles of the key missing pieces. For example, Hampus Lindholm fills in as the number one defenseman.   A strong start could spark an unstoppable amount of confidence for the Boston Bruins. We all know that once Brad Marchand is back in the lineup, the Bruins will be close to unstoppable. Marchand is the most important player on the Bruins' roster; he brings energy, offense, and a leadership role.   An e

Cam York is Poised for a Breakout Season

The University of Michigan defencemen is poised for a solid season on the backend. York is currently 21-years-old, and entering the 2022-23 season as a sophomore in the National Hockey League. York split time with Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley in the AHL. The Flyers selected the d-man with the 14th selection during the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. York is described as a puck-moving defenseman, he makes strong passes and has an eye for offense. He is a smooth, quick skater. York creates turnovers with his speed and edge work, and is always in the middle of the play within the offensive and neutral zone.  The d-man plays a trustworthy style of game, he is accurate with his shots and passes, while breaking out the puck with ease. He is a true offensive defensemen that is and can be a power play quarterback. Although, York definitely lacks elite defensive play. “A mobile and calm defender with tremendous skating ability. Effective on the power play and owns the mobility needed to clean up any mi
