Yes, at last we are nearing the start of the 2022-23 season, a time in when all 32 teams have a shot at winning Stanley Cup. Here are some of the top headlines and notes, prior to the NHL season: Bruins Announce Prospect Tournament Roster The Boston Bruins have announced their roster for the upcoming Buffalo Sabres Prospect Tournament at the LECOM Harborcenter. The tournament is set to run for five days. The Bruins prospects will play against the Habs, Devils, Penguins, Senators, and Sabres prospects over the course of the tournament. Highlighting the offensive group is former first-round pick John Beecher. The former U-of-Michigan star signed to become a pro at the end of the prior NCAA season. Beecher is a player that will likely start the season in the AHL. The lengthy forward plays a physical, power forward-like game. 2021 first-round pick Fabian Lysell will also join the Bruins group at the LECOM Harborcenter. Prospect Tournament Game Recap: Bruins Defeat Sabres - September 18, 2021

September 18, 2021 The Buffalo Sabres Prospect Tournament has officially started. The Bruins play the Buffalo Sabres to start out their tournament. An excellent overall game by the young Bruins prospects. The game had a bit of everything.  Recap: Sabres forward Brett Murray potted in a  power play rebound to give the Sabres a 1-0 lead.  Jesper Froden countered back by banking in a power play goal of his own. The newly acquired Bruins ties the game up. Alex-Oliver Voyer and Sabres player Peter Tischke drop the gloves, both players received five for fighting. Samuel Asselin gives the Bruins a 2-1 lead. J-J Peterka (Buffalo) ties the game up (2-2), early in the third period. Brett Harrison pots in a rebound to give the Bruins a 3-2 lead. Jesper Froden scores his second goal of the game, he adds an insurance goal to give the Bruins a 4-2 lead. Fabian Lysell adds another goal to the scoreboard to give the Bruins a 5-2 lead. Bruins Join Buffalo Sabres Prospect Challenge

The Boston Bruins will take part in the annual Buffalo Sabres Prospect Challenge. The tournament will start on September 17th and end on the 19th. All games are played at LECOM Harborcenter, the practice facility of the Sabres. The tournament consists of three teams the Bruins, Sabres, and Devils. The tournament will help showcase top-up and coming talent in each organization. Bruins Schedule : September 18, 2021: vs Buffalo Sabres (3 PM)* September 19, 2021: vs New Jersey Devils (1 PM)* How is this beneficial for the Bruins? This will help them get a gauge on newly added prospects. This includes first-round pick Fabian Lysell, who unfortunately missed Bruins Development Camp. The tournament also has an excel of competition. Each team will bring their top prospects to the tournament, increasing the level of talent.
