Cajoled's Preseason 2023 NHL Entry Draft Rankings (1-10)

With the 2022–23 season just around the corner, here are our pre-season rankings of the upcoming 2022–2023 NHL Entry Draft: 1. Connor Bedard - Regina Pats (WHL) Bedard has dazzled at every single level that he has played at, and there is no doubt in my mind that the West Vancouver native will be selected first-overall. He was recently named captain of the Regina Pats and scored 51 goals and 49 assists last season in the WHL. while also winning a gold medal with Team Canada at the WJC. 2. Adam Fantilli - Chicago Steel (USHL) Fantilli's game is well-rounded and offensively structured. The soon-to-be Michigan Wolverines player spent the last two seasons playing for the Chicago Steel of the USHL. The Nobleton, Ontario native plays a hard, skilled, and intelligent game. Last season, in the USHL, the forward put up 37 goals and 37 assists in 54 games. 3. Matvei Michkov - St. Petersburg SKA (KHL) Michkov is an extremely high-end forward who can single-handedly turn a rebuilding team around

Previewing the 2022 IIHF WJC Gold Medal Game - Finland vs Canada

It all comes down to this, the most prolific game of a hockey player's junior career. Who will take home the gold medal?   Team Finland comes into the game looking for a bounceback effort. They were defeated by Canada during the preliminary round, 6-3. Team Canada cruised through the preliminary round and will have their biggest test of the tournament today. Keys to Success: For Finland, they need to establish an early lead. Finland's top line of Aatu Raty, Joakim Kemell, and Roni Hirvonen have been carrying the load offensively. With an early lead, Finland's defensive strengths and shut a game down, like they did against Team Sweden yesterday. Finland defeated Sweden, 1-0, and limited the Swedes to just 23 shots.   Canada will need to break down Finland's defensive core once again, like they did in the preliminary round. Canada's offensive core is made up of highly skilled players that pounce on mistakes. Finland's game revolves around possession. If Canada

The IIHF World Juniors is under flight. Here are some of the top analytics and notes so far from the played games: Brad Lambert : Lambert is an elite skater and puck handler. He flashes around with his edge work. He is a key player on odd-man rushes and one-on-one. Lambert makes his teammates better while also displaying a lethal shot in junior. But what is holding Brad Lambert back from becoming a superstar? Give and GOAL! Brad Lambert makes it 3-0 for @leijonat just 1:58 into the 2nd. #WorldJuniors #LATFIN @NHLJets   — IIHF (@IIHFHockey) August 9, 2022 Lambert is a perimeter player. He is often rushing around the ice and making laps around the offensive zone. Lambert moves around the outside of the offensive zone, looking to set up teammates in and around the goal. He is a very predictable player. Lambert currently has a goal in two games. Mason McTavish and Team Canada : Team Canada is always a candidate to win the IIHF WJC. Team Canada absolutely domi
